At this year’s festive event of the TUM Deutschlandstipendium, we again set up the traditional donation chest for the collective scholarships under our proven motto “Giving something back together”. Together with the donations from the kick-off event in December, more than 900€ were collected – the equivalent of half a scholarship!!! We thank everyone for their participation!
During the official welcome event of this academic year’s Deutschlandstipendium, we collected 80 euros in donations through the “Spendentruhe”. Sadly, Paypal no longer offers money pools. We think that the lack of visibility of the current state of the donation campaign is the reason for the decline in the success of our “Spendentruhe”.
In case you are using Amazon anyway, you may know about smile.amazon.de. 0.5% of your purchases are donated to a charity – and our TUM Deutschlandstipendium Alumni Association is now eligible as well. If you already use Amazon or Amazon Smile, you might consider choosing our association. In case you do not use Amazon, please do not consider this a reason to start using Amazon.
On October 19, our first welcome meeting took place. Thank you for the great conversations, Selin, Cara, Samiksha, Tom and Yordan. We had the opportunity to get to know each other in 1-1 breakout rooms and will continue to hold this event in the coming months for new members and anyone else who would like to join.
